Obituaries

       Leonard Thomas Jones, son of Albert Edward Jones and Lena Mae (McVey) Jones was born June 3, 1947 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life February 22, 2010 at his home in Weldon, Iowa at 62 years of age.

       Tom attended Knox Country School #9 and lived in Clarke County the majority of his life. He had lived in Weldon since 1972. He was united in marriage to Carla Jones on April 10, 2002 at Osceola, Iowa.

       Tom was a farmer; he enjoyed going to farm sales, feeding cattle and mowing the yard. He also liked to attend concerts at the Casino and watch westerns, especially Gun Smoke and Bonanza. Visiting friends and family in Missouri was his favorite thing to do. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was baptized at the church in Osceola.

      Those relatives who preceded Tom in death were his Parents; son, Wesley J.J. Jones in 1992; brothers, J.W. Jones, Donald D. Jones, Gene Jones; mother of Diana, Judy Boals.

       He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife; Carla Jones of Weldon; children, Malinda (Everett) Proctor of Grand River, Diana Jones of Osceola, Richard (Faye) Jones of Osceola, Josh (Donna Money) Hall of Osceola, Danielle (Daniel) Walker of Pella; grandchildren, John Jones, Heather Wallace of Osceola, Allen Sego, Katie Jones, ShayDe Sego of Decatur City, Destiny Kingery, Derryck Kingery of Osceola, Cheyenne Kingery of Missiouri, Garth Proctor of Grand River, Xavia Walker, Haylee Walker of Pella, Brice Hall of Osceola; great grandchildren, Evahn Wallace, Preslee Wallace of Osceola; brothers, David (Twyla) P. Jones of Osceola, Morris (Ruth) Jones of Minnesota, Cliff (Jolene) Jones of Missouri; sister, Ruby Kane of Colorado; mother of Richard, Malinda, and Wesley, Dorothy Jones of Osceola; and other relatives and many friends.
